Photograph caption dated March 22, 1950 reads "In honor of ground-breaking for St. Martin's-In-The-Field Church, 7136 Winnetka Ave., Canoga Park, Rt. Rev. Robert Gooden, of Los Angeles diocese, Episcopal Church, plants tree. He is assisted by C. R. Prouty, member of the new church which will open for Easter."
