One member holds a small "Smog Detail" sign. All wear a fez denoting their temple and rank which include: patrol, adjutant, 2nd lieutenant and captain. Photo caption reads: "Members of Aahmes Temple of Oakland had heard there was such a thing as smog in Los Angeles - and so, they formed a special detail, wearing gas masks, ready for any emergency, while attending the convention".
