Photograph caption dated May 17, 1955 reads "Claire Weekes, 19, Miss Van Nuys, learns to read air maps preparatory to her official hostess duties at the Fifth Annual Open House at San Fernando Valley Airport in Van Nuys Saturday and Sunday. Lt. Pierre Havre, pilot with 146th Fighter Bomber Wing, California Air National Guard, is her instructor."
