Description
Two injured men, including Bill Kato, play cards, while Alan Ladd and Sue Carol look on. Taken at Fitzsimmons General Hospital. Handwritten text on back of photo reads, "Taken at Fitz. Gen. on Dec. 12, 1944, including Alan Ladd, Sue Carroll and Bill Kato." The original image is housed with the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), and was borrowed for digitization courtesy of the JACL. This image belongs to a group of images related to the Akutagawa family.
The North Bay Ethnic Archive features material related to the forced relocation of northern San Francisco Bay Area residents to Incarceration Camp Granada (Amache), Colorado. It includes correspondence, photographs, and reports. Some of the original items are housed with the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), and were borrowed for digitization courtesy of the JACL. The remainder are housed in Special Collections.
