Original photograph has several stains.
Photograph caption dated November 25, 1961 reads "A driver's permit is serious business for Reta Snyder, 15 1/2, 5454 Woodman Ave., Van Nuys. At left, with her mother, Mrs. Everett Snyder, she applies for permit-to-learn with the clerk at the North Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles. She receives the written portion of the test and goes to work, center. After passing all the qualifications, Reta slides behind the wheel with her mother as passenger (pictured)."; See images #00146592 through #00146595 for all photos in this series.
