Photograph caption dated January 30, 1957 reads, "Desert snow in Antelope Valley - Heavy snow crusts Joshua trees in Antelope Valley desert. Antelope Valley was hardest hit by freakish storm. More than 16,000 children stayed home from school when snow hindered school buses, stranded some children in nearby mountain communities and made driving hazardous."; See images #00116868 through #00116874 for all photos in this series.
