Photograph of an exterior view of Mount Wilson Observatory, ca.1930-1940. In the center of the image sits an upclose view of the observatory with its lightly colored exterior. The balcony that surrounds the dome is visible as are the stairs leading up to a platform and around the top of the dome. The shutter openings of the dome can be seen above center. The bottom of the image shows a wooden bridge leading to the observatory while three men stand at the end of the bridge by the observatory leaning on the railings to the right of center. Two large bushes are visible in the foreground.
