Photograph caption dated April 18 1945 reads, "The jury of 11 women and one man returned its verdict against the world-famous comedian after deliberating for two hours and 55 minutes. Shown, above, are three of the jurors, left to right, Mrs. Norma Meneley, Mrs. Caroline S. Obert and Miss Ida S. Rutherford. The first ballot was 9 to 3 for the baby."
