Photograph caption dated November 27, 1959 reads, "L.A. Police Honor Valley Boys. Jim Hendricks, 14, eighth grade student at Anatola School, left, and Dale Ricker, 11, sixth grader, receive congratulations from Capt. W. L. Richey, commander of West Valley police department, before leaving for Los Angeles where they were honored by Police department for their aid in apprehending robbers of Valley business firm. Boys received citation from police commission for their honesty in turning in to police $1,138.50, holdup money boys found in alley. Police arrested four suspects when they returned to pick up money from hiding place."
