Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph article dated September 6, 1963 partially reads, "A little yellow shack hidden in the hills of Canoga Park is home and studio for David Brockmann, a sculptor in an unusual, but increasingly popular, medium. Brockmann doesn't use a hammer and chisel or a sharp knife, but a welding torch and hammering equipment for iron sculpting. The 26-year-old sculptor, who had a bachelor's degree in business administration from Valley State College in Northridge, spends 14 to 18 hours daily working on his art." David Brockmann, who sculpts in iron, shows tree, wall design and other work he made.
