Interview with Robert D. Fisher, retired Vice President, Industrial Relations, Del Monte Corporation. Fisher recounts his years at CalPak/Del Monte, and his part in the creation and management of the Industrial Relations Department, based in San Francisco. The interview gives an in-depth history of how the company was shaped by the Depression, World War II, and the Korean War; government legislation; and labor unions.
