Photograph caption dated July 26, 1941 reads, “Japanese are shown today intently reading “extra” news bulletins posted at a newstand in Los Angeles’ ‘Little Tokio’ [sic] telling of President Roosevelt's order freezing all Japanese assets in the United States.” Copies of "Science Fiction" and "Detective" comics are visible.
