Photograph article dated December 5, 1960 partially reads, "She was expected to be born Dec. 12. She arrived Sept. 4. She wasn't expected to live. But she did - even though she only weighed a pound and was but a foot tall at birth. Today, little Carmelin Xerri, is at her Sun Valley home with her proud and happy parents, John and Betty Xerri, 8476 Kewen Ave. Nicknamed 'Sherry' by the nurses at Glendale Sanitarium, the Xerris' first-born had grown from 12 1/2 to 15 1/2 inches and weighed in at five pounds, three ounces when released."
