Description
V2p216b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 216 bottom. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "June 1920 NE corner Market St and Marshall Square Headquarters Irish Americans during Democratic Convention-Asking for recognition by the Convention of the so called 'Irish Republic.' " Photo shows a crowd of adults and two children gathered around the building, which is draped with flags and bears numerous signs. The signs on top of the building read: "America's Traditional Policy: Recognition without intervention. Recognize the Irish Republic."
