Photo of Glen Oswald (inset) and his Cinderella Roof Orchestra. In 1920, Hickman introduced "Jazz" to New York and captured it with his laughing trombones, moaning "saxes" and such. But he liked the west better, turned his back on greater fame and fortune and "came home" to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Today, he is dead in San Francisco, scene of "Jazz's" formal debut. Photo dated: January 29, 1927.
