Description
Dallas: As the first plane bearing POWs from North Vietnam taxied down the runway at Clark AFB the TV screen flickered and Joy Jeffrey, wife of POW Maj. Robert Jeffrey, clasped her hands together in a prayful 'oh God don't lose the picture.' Later when she thought she had missed seeing her husband deplane, she turned in anguish to the small group of friends gathered in her Dallas home... 'I didn't see him, I don't know which one he was.' Moments later she got the first look at her husband she has had in over seven years.
