Photograph caption dated February 2, 1957 reads "Spacious pool used by vets. Included among facilities for hospital's neuro-psychiatric patients is this huge swimming pool, valuable from both therapeutic and recreational standpoint. Hospital also has golf course, wood shops, metal shops, library, theater which is soon to show CinemaScope, gym and chapel. Neuro-psychiatric patients are treated as individuals with emphasis placed on returning them to the community. Patients are taught to live, work and play together in situations approximating those found outside hospital.
