Description
Photograph caption dated July 9, 1989 reads, "Food for thought: Deborah Widel and other poster-armed protesters, some of them members of a vegetarian group, demonstrate at L.A. Childrens Hospital, targeting the McDonald's restaurant that will open there to serve the hospital's staff and hungry visitors. A burger-and-fries diet is unhealthy, the opponents say, and the location will set a bad example for the young patients there."
