Aerial view of the Pacific Southwest Exposition 60 acre grounds on the waterfront in Long Beach, launched to commemorate the landing of the Spanish padres and the founding of California. The Exposition buildings, designed by architect Hugh R. Davies, were modeled on North Africa's walled cities. A crowd enters the domed entrance to the Exposition which leads to a large courtyard garden surrounded by arched arcades. A four-masted ship is anchored by the Exposition. Photograph dated: [1928].
