Description
Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989
Goaltender Rogie Vachon, outside of the Forum. After helping the powerhouse Montreal Canadians win three Stanley Cups, the diminutive Vachon used his quick glove to make the Kings competitive, leading them to three consecutive playoff appearances in the 1970s. He back-stopped Team Canada to victory in the 1976 Canada Cup and was the first Kings player to have his sweater retired.
