Description
Photograph caption dated January 27, 1964 reads "Sponsored by the YMCA, the first annual Powwow of the Valley's three youthful Indian nations--Noda Nation (Studio City), Tenaya Nation (Sun Valley), and the Sioux Nation (North Hollywood)--gathered at North Hollywood High School Saturday. Among those participating in the program were, left to right, Richard MacDonald, 7; Dale MacDonald, 6; Douglas Scot, 7, and Derek Alpert, 7, all of North Hollywood. The first three boys are dressed in Cherokee outfits and the fourth in Comanche garb."
