Description
These tapes document a series of bi-montly sessions held at The Huntington Library to examine the state of the art of women's studies. Specialists in eleven different disciplines described the progress (or lack of progress) of women's studies in their fields of interest. The sessions attracted between 75 to 149 people and revealed a deep interest in the topic of women's studies. Speakers: Lois Banner on History, Jane Jaquette on Philosophy, and Arlene Stiebel on English Literature. A condensed transcript of the sessions, with bibliographies, was compiled by Suzanne M.
