Photograph caption dated September 11, 1956 reads, "Film Pioneer Honored Again -- Cecil B. DeMille (center) is given the David Award by the Faith and Freedom Committee sponsoring the U.S. premiere of Milhaud's opera "David," at the Hollywood Bowl Sept. 22. DeMille holds a replica of Michelangelo's statue David. With him are Mrs. Rose Berch and Walter Hilborn."
