A very interesting stand of western yellow pine at the mill of the Spanish Peak Lumber Company near Camp Califorest. Conveyor taking lumber from sawmill to tramway shipping station in foreground. The picture shows an open stand of yellow pine reaching maturity, with the open land surrounding it heavily covered with reproduction of principally the same species but including also others of the region. The ground under the trees is fairly open, with a few white firs and a casual sugar pine sapling scattered about. July, 1926
