Photograph caption dated June 18, 1963 reads, "Sun Valley's Rick Fowler practices his form for the Lake Havasu National Invitational Boat and Ski Championships tomorrow and Sunday on the lake. Fowler has four times been Pacific Coast champion in distance speed skiing and trails Butch Peterson of Pasadena by only 12 points in the race for the 1965 title, 2,000 to 1.988, respectively."
