Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
A. M. Parsons developed the idea of transforming marshes across the bay into a subdivision with canals similar to those in Venice, Italy. He formed a new company, The Naples Company, with H. E. Huntington of railway fame as president. The first home at 4 Savona Walk was built in 1906.
A view of the Naples shoreline, a series of islands located in Alamitos Bay in Long Beach. The houses are large and widely spaced. Naples consists of three separate islands, all with canals running into the bay and all of the streets on the islands have Italian names. Photograph dated: 1908.
