Photograph of a procession of dozens of Mexican and Indian women during the Fiesta de San Esteban (Saint Stephen), Acoma Pueblo, ca.1900. The women can be seen wearing full-length dresses walking in a procession. Many are visible holding parasols over their heads. Some children and men are visible as well. The houses along the street are made of adobe with exposed rafter tails. Several ladders leaning against the buildings provide access to upper levels. Some people can be seen observing the procession from the roofs.
