Description
Sign advertises lots for sale in the 1930s along Del Monte Avenue at Elkington Avenue in the Alisal area near Salinas. After an unsuccessful attempt to grow lettuce, the land was subdivided into lots for sale. Buyers would come into Salinas and pay small amounts monthly to George Elkington.
