Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 16, 1950 reads, "Symbolic of the San Fernando Valley's great pulling power which in the last 10 years has brought the Valley a 164.1 per cent growth in population, is this dramatic stream of automobile headlights pouring into Valley through Cahuenga Freeway. Traffic lanes at right, which lead away from Valley to Hollywood, are almost deserted. While Valley was staging its phenomenal growth, Hollywood made only 10.7 per cent gain."
