Description
Photograph of Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce bidding farewell to Honolulu, Hawaii, 1907. The center area and part of the foreground is crowded with well-dressed people some are noticeably wearing lei around their necks. A small platform is observable in the right, while two men are carrying a large container box. Carriages and horses are visible in the crowd. Behind the people, to the left, a long wooden fence extends diagonally to the viewer and, behind it, a large pond with what appears to be an oil well and a small cabin sitting on a wooden platform. Buildings and factories are grouped together in the background. Mountains fill in the backdrop.
