Photograph caption dated July 25, 1956 reads "Artifact seeker Fish peruses old Chinese ledger found in abandoned town ruins for clues to other hidden wealth. Stuck in between Chinese characters were pages in crude English dating back to 1865 in Dogtown, Calif. Fish says this is an important source document." Frank L. Fish, Van Nuys, is a treasurer hunter.; See images #00145793 through #00145795 for all photos in this series.
