Photograph caption dated September 14, 1931 reads, "Funeral arrangements today were completed for 'Cap' Dillon, highly colorful, former manager of the Angels and one of the best-known characters in coast baseball. Services will be held tomorrow in the Wee Kirk of the Heather at Forest Lawn. 'Cap' passed away Saturday night after a lingering illness."
