Description
Two women and a boy are outdoors, stepping off a frozen lake to the shore. The woman on the left wears a small dark green flat cap edged in tan fur. Her hair is down, in loose waves and she wears gold pendant earrings. Her dress is matching deep forest green, accented with tan fur at the hems, and in bands across the front. She wears a cape edged with fur around her shoulders. She reaches with her left hand to help the little boy off the lake. He wears a small flat black cap edged with gray fur. His long sleeved shirt is red with gray fur cuffs. He wears a black vest, edged in gray fur at the hem and armholes, and black knee length pants edged with gray fur at the hems. His boots are black with ice skates tied on with brown lacing up the leg. The woman on the right wears a small black top hat with gray plumes. Her dress is purple with ruffles and two pleated flounces, with bands of gray fur on the flounces. Her coat has long sleeves, the skirt has the elaborate back draping of the fashionable bustled silhouette, and is edged in gray fur. She also carries a gray fur muff and wears gold pendant earrings. Behind the group are groups of skaters on the lake, two sledges, one horse drawn, pine trees, and a small rustic building with lattice work.
