Description: Photograph caption dated April 7, 1952 reads, "Clowning Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis of the movies ride atop the El Mirador float in a Palm Springs parade that was one feature of the four-day Desert Circus. The Circus closed yesterday with midget plane races furnishing the climax." The Desert Circus was a festival in Palm Springs held annually to celebrate the ways of the Old West.
