Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated February 23, 1961 reads, "Phillip Nickolas Gaitaud is held by his mother, Mrs. Jack Gaitaud, 6632 Andasol Ave., Van Nuys, Wednesday after his birth at 6:15 a.m. making him the first baby born in Van Nuys on the day the community was celebrating its 50th anniversary. Phillip received $500 from Valley Federal Savings and a complete infant's layette and a spring wardrobe each year until he is 18 years old from Butler Brothers store, Van Nuys."
