Photograph article dated April 16, 1965 partially reads, "Nine prominent women active in community service in the San Fernando Valley are nominees for the Ann Marion Schlarb Award presented by the Women's Committee of the San Fernando Valley Area United Way... Mrs. Parker was nominated by the Northridge Guild of Childrens Hospital. She is president of the Northridge Junior High School PTA, a member of the United Way board of directors and has been active in Girl Scouts, Los Angeles Volunteer Bureau, Northridge Guild of Childrens Hospital and All Nations Center. She has served on the San Fernando Valley Women's Committee and as vice chairman of the Los Angeles County Women's Campaign Cabinet. She is current residential chairman for the San Fernando Valley area United Crusade."
