View of a plant that appears to be an agave, or century plant, and a group of unidentified people posed next to it, in front of a small house in Pasadena, California. "Jarvis' Gallery, 29 E. Colorado St., Pasadena, Cal. ..."--text, printed on verso. Note: writing on back of print says "Sight [sic] of the Adolphus Busch Residence, Orange Grove Ave., Pasadena, Calif." and is signed "Edward H. Rust" however, this house is neither the English-style Busch residence on Orange Grove Avenue (built 1898), nor the Edward H. Rust residence, which was in South Pasadena. Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on style of photograph and photographer history; the Jarvis family moved to Pasadena in 1886. This photograph may show the site before the Busch residence and garden were built on Orange Grove, near Arroyo Seco canyon, Pasadena.
