Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated September 9, 1963 reads, "A dead deer was discovered today lying on a sidewalk on Cahuenga Blvd., North Hollywood, by Frankie Van. It is thought that the Deer wandered down from the hills and was hit by an automobile, whose driver then slit the throat of the animal to keep it from suffering. The deer was found near 3717 Cahuenga Blvd." Frankie Van's Health Club is located in Studio City.
