McFarland of North Hollywood. McFarland qualifies as an expert. He completed 3 million miles of accident-free driving this month. For 31 years McFarland has driven Greyhound buses to Las Vegas. Next week McFarland will receive his 30-year Safety Award certificate from Stan Ossman, director of safety for Greyhound's 11-state Western division and an Accutron watch....He favors a special freeway driving license with a bumper sticker to prove the operator of a car is aware of driving problems peculiar to freeways....In three years he will retire. His plans? 'Well, I thought the wife and I would take a trip.'"
