Description
Long-time Claremont resident, Ruth Iredell came to Claremont in 1926 and began her community involvement in the Citizens Planning Commission, Coordinating Council, and Parks and Recreation in the 1940s. These groups helped establish new parks in Claremont, youth programming, and the Youth Activity Center in Memorial Park. Mrs. Iredell discusses the history of these groups and notable early members. Claremont's historic homes and buildings are also talked about at length.
