Description
Image of oil equipment. The rectangular steel boxes in the foreground are called mud pits and act as reservoirs for the intake of the mud pumps, which will be used during drilling operations. The hat shaped object in the left hand corner is a mud hopper, where the crew will dump sacks of chemicals and sacked material for mixing their rotary mud. The heavy steel object in the right hand side of the image is the drawworks, which is used for hoisting and lowering pipe.
