Description: Shown here is the Douglas Aircraft Welfare Picnic, held in Bixby Park. The organization gave away 7,000 meals consisting of hotdogs, rolls, ice cream, drinks, doughnuts, and apples. The WCTU (Women's Christian Temperance Union)drinking fountain originally located at Pine Avenue Pier is visible here in the background (small circular white building).
