Description
Photograph of a sketch of a foot bridge (by Henry Chapman Ford), over a creek, viewed through an arch of the aqueduct at Mission Santa Barbara, ca.1900. A woman is depicted standing at the near end of the wood bridge. Foliage surrounds the area and the mountains are visible in the distance. The arch was eventually torn down by an American because his hay wagon could not pass (Engelhardt, M. Santa Barbara, p.317).
