Description
Photograph of an interior view of the chapel at Camulos, 1900-1910. The chapel is inside a long, narrow room with a hexagonal wall at the end at center. There are windows on both side walls of the room, and the ceiling is made from wooden planks. An altar is at center and consists of a large platform adorned with flowers and statues of religious figures. The letters "IHS" appear on the front of the altar. A small table is visible at right and several books are stacked on top. A small gas lamp is hanging from the ceiling at center. Camulos was the setting for Helen Hunt Jackson's book Ramona.
