Description
Letter from Fred Korematsu to Ernest Besig. Korematsu writes he has a new job at a tire company. He also writes, "I read the case going on in Washington D.C. the Supreme Court gave the decision, that the military had rights in evacuating Japanese Americans. Mr. Besig! I believe that's a show down for my case also. If not will you please write to me in what's going to happen. And would I continue to be on probation for another four years." Stamped "confidential."
The ACLU-Northern California case file records contain legal documents and correspondence pertaining to the case argued before the Supreme Court in Korematsu v. United States (1944), challenging the constitutionality of Executive Order 9066.
