Description
"Japanese Labour Employed in Packing Oranges Produced in the Groves of Southern California," clipping, circa 1920s. The item, removed from a British magazine, shows several Japanese men and other persons packing oranges on an assembly line at an Arlington Heights (Riverside) packing house. The title and caption are below. On the reverse is a print from the Federal Hospital for Immigrants on Ellis Island in New York. With some rippling and light soiling, the condition is good.
