Description
A recruiting pamphlet for the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. Section headings include: Organization and Purpose of the WAAC; Enrollment in the WAAC; Training in the WAAC; Work and Duties of the WAAC; Partial List of Duties in the WAAC; Height and Weight Qualifications; Pay of Enrolled Members; and How WAAC officers are selected. Numerous photographs with captions illustrate WAAC enrollment, uniforms, training, duties, and officer selection. The pamphlet is 28 pages long and the outer back cover is missing from this scan. An item from: page 1 of the Sue Kato scrapbook (gfb_skc_0001).
The Sue Kato Collection consists of personal materials documenting Sue Kato's (nee Ogata) time serving in World War II with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. Sue Kato served as a clerk at Fort Devens and Fort Myers as well as a translator with the language and translation sections at Camp Ritchie.
