The Motion Picture Sound Editors (M.P.S.E.) annual award ceremony took place at Barraclough's Restaurant, 6220 W. Third Street in Los Angeles.
Photograph caption dated March 20, 1958 reads, "Motion Picture Sound Editors yesterday passed out awards to movie and TV editors for 'best sound' in 1957. Dick Powell and Walter Rossi were honored for Fox's 'Enemy Below.' Pictured above is sound editor Leonard Davison, honored for 'Silent Service' on TV. With him here is technical adviser Capt. F. Gordon Selby and Actress Anne Neyland who presented the trophy."
