Description
Connie and Caprice begin the interview discussing the context of the novel and how much of the main character is derived from Caprice’s own personality, and how, as in the novel, children must sometimes become parents to their parents. They move on to talk about Caprice’s approach to writing and her cinematic style of plot construction before discussing her future projects. Connie closes this interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book. Connie and Brian begin their interview discussing how he started writing the book and the increasing opportunities he was provided. They proceed to reflect on current issues in global affairs, specifically concerning the Middle East, Barack Obama’s presidency, the state of education worldwide, and the threat of climate change. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
