Photograph caption dated March 2, 1955 reads "Unsuspecting Valley Times Drama Editor Len Boyd is absorbed in work just prior to 'pitch' by 10-year-old Girl Scout Barbara Fox, Lankershim Avenue School PTA Troop 1517, on behalf of Girl Scout cookies--'which come in many, delicious varieties.' Final curtain left Boyd wealthier by several boxes of cookies, Miss Fox wealthier by much needed funds for Girl Scouting."
